Watami quality has gone down the drain in recent years. Last time used to go to the Buona Vista outlet, good food good service. Now the food quite meh, one of the service staff was quite rude. We were asking for the tamago yaki to be served hot, since some restaurant serve it cold. The service staff (didn’t manage to note down his name) replied in a very condescending tone, how hot you want it to be? When actually it was already served hot. He could have replied saying it was hot. Anyways food were served promptly but felt the taste was quite lacking.

Ordered a variety of dishes here. The restaurant is huge and there isn’t an issue with waiting time and was ushered in straight away during peak hours. Service is swift. It is general expected standard of a Japanese chain of such. It is consistent throughout the years at any of their outlet I have visited. The usual of sashimi salad, sushi roll and pork bowl never fails.

Was there non peaked hour. Not sure why was seated to tightly to other table when whole place is empty, OK almost empty not empty. Super loud n noisy table beside me, took away my peace to haver dinner earlier. Other than that, staff was quite proactive in terms of clearing used plates etc . Food not bad. Will try again. Hope I they don't seat annoying people next to me the next time I visit hah.

I recommend ordering their set meals. There are choices of the dishes within the set. Food is delicious and service is prompt. Annual membership at $30 includes two vouchers of $15 with no minimum spend, and at least 10% discount. Definitely worthwhile.

What I like: - the watami roll 🔥 - japanese rice was authentic - beef strips and kimchi were tasty as well What I don’t like: - the nanban sauce was delicious but it’s a bit diluted?

First time trying. Nice cozy place. I really like the pork rice. Careful of the wasabi. It's really hot. It's better if you set it aside out of the bowl before eating.
